The mock funeral agitation conducted by the Students’ Federation of India (SFI) against the Vice-Chancellor of Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit is deeply deplorable and unacceptable. Resorting to such extreme measures under the guise of student protest is a blatant attack on academic dignity, amounting to severe mental harassment and character assassination of respected educators.
Such acts completely derail democratic/ principles, setting a harmful precedent that disrespects the sacred environment of higher education institutions. The police should never stand as mute spectator to such heinous incidence. The state government and law enforcement must take immediate, stringent action to book the culprits responsible for this incident.
The authorities must implement strict regulatory measures and institutional guidelines across all universities to ensure that such disgraceful acts are never repeated, restoring safety, mutual respect, and academic decorum on college campuses.
