Deputy CM- a hen breast feed

After much hullaballoo it has been made clear that selection to deputy CM in Kerala would turn out to be an act of hen’s breast feeding. It would never happen.  UDF convenor P P Thankachan said there was no consensus reached in deciding the deputy chief minister after a series of discussions.  In the next and further UDF meets this issue would not be taken up for discussion.

The whole episode indicates that all progress made by Chennithala with his Kerala yathra has gone ashtray. Nevertheless, he could conveniently use 50 crore rupees collected by way donation during the journey.  It is almost convinced that there would be only talks and talks and the post of deputy CM would remain vacant.

Unjustified act by film producer.

For quite long the film fraternity are enjoying added advantage with their influence on ministers and other politicians. The undue tax exemption to a poorly crafted film “Spirit” is a pointer in this direction. As a minister K.B. Ganesh Kumar has given unnecessary importance to cinema industry by siphoning huge amount of money from state exchequer as subsidy and prize money while artists in other sectors are ignored. He overly favoured all those who were associated with him in the film.

Filmmaker Priyadarshan  saying that the Malayalam film industry is in shambles and it doesn't have any minister to manage it,  is a direct insult to Chief Minister Oommen Chandy who holds the portfolio since the exit of Ganesh after a complaint against him for domestic violence. And in this regard I agree with Government Chief Whip P.C. George.
The film producers and actors deciding a particular minister for the State is in poor taste. The cinema men should be given the place they deserve and not more than that.

Kudos to Alappuzha DCC.

Photo: Join us===> Sweet Memories Of Past Life.

A A Shukkoor, and company of the Alappuzha DCC should be congratulated for their strong resolution against  communal leaders Vellappally of the SNDP and Sukumaran Nair of the NSS. The two communal leaders were polluting the entire Kerala atmosphere with abusive words. A  Shukkoor was needed to check this onslaught by communal leaders when high profile leaders of the Congress were silent because of vote bank interests.

Even if the community leaders have the right to express their political views in public Vellappally- Sukumaran Nair duo have crossed all the permissible limits. Who are they to call the KPCC Preseident a dead body and all other leaders  wood headed to walk south-north? A K Antony coming in favour of Vellappally denouncing Alappuzha DCC is due to the fact that Vellappally  is the school mate of Antony and P J Kurian talks in favour of Sukumaran Nair is for the favours he received from Nair in the infamous Suryanelli case.

Jolie’s wrong message.

By removing breasts to protect against cancer Angelina Jolie has given a wrong message to all world women. It was a direct insult to poor women who are unable to get a square meal a day. How poor women could diagnosis cancer and remove breast by a surgery spending thousands of thousands of rupees? Perhaps Jolie could avoid cancer death with surgery, nevertheless how could she avoid death by heart failure and other diseases which outweigh cancer deaths? Therefore there is no point in accepting Jolie’s action and what we need is to develop a more open minded attitude to take things as they come.
It is surprising that we take seriously the people like Jolie who own plenty of money to spend lavishly. It was better on the part of ‘mother of six’ to live without influencing others for wrong decision making.
Moreover, Jolie has been admitted to heroin addiction, low self-esteem and anorexia in the past. She has the wealth and access to the world's best doctors and hence she is not a role model for average woman. Her choice of removing breast is neither logical, nor advisable and cause body integrity disorder. The metabolism of human body is something unpredictable and hence doctors should denounce the practice of amputating healthy tissues.

IPL in a spot

It was a pity to contrast the front page picture, of pacer S. Sreesanth with a black face hood being escorted like a criminal, with the one on the inside pages, of his distressed parents (May 17). Glamorous film stars, media houses and corporate entities are all spoiling the game and the lives of young cricketers.

Intolerant General Secretary.

Photo: FOR MORE BEAUTIFUL PICTURES LIKE >>>> RainDrops

Who is NSS General Secretary Sukumaran Nair in Kerala to say that his organisation would deal with Oommen Chandy, Ramesh Chennithala and Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan in the coming LS polls? Is he the god father of these politicians? I lay a wager before Sukumaran Nair to defeat Chandy from his constituency in any election.

Sukumaran Nair with his foul rhetoric has ridiculed democratic fabric and voting rights of the people. Are all people associated with Nair community mere hocks to follow the dictates of this intolerant leader? No doubt it is the fault of Kerala politicians not to put Sukumaran Nair in the position he belongs, I mean a trash.

Trash IPL

Photo

The white man’s game has become a burden for ordinary Indian citizens because of the corrupt practices associated with it. It is pity to see the ace bowler of Indian Cricket Sreesanth in face-covered black attire resembling a D-company member amidst the police men for an offence he committed. The new version of the gentleman’s game called 20-20 and IPL made all gentlemen into greedy-unscrupulous frauds. The IPL viewers all over the world have been cheated by the players for a hefty sum in tune with 20 or 40 lakhs.

The fraud relating IPL is questionable and the involvement of film stars in IPL is unwarranted.  IPL has become a display place for the players and film stars to make blue the entertainment. And this is done through cheer girls, after-match parties, spot-fixing, making women usable commodities, designer labels and others. It is the larger political-film-economy which is predominantly unsporting and for that we should put an end. In the case of IPL, the advertisements seem to overwhelm the game itself. The glamour-crazed film stars, ever greedy cricket players, channel promoters, liquor barons and big corporates  are spoiling the game and the people. So it is high time to trash the IPL.

Mani should not go scot-free.

Photo: kuttanadu kerala

It is often officials come in the role of offenders when they confront with people. However, the incident relating the assault on two forest officials at Athirappally compels one to think actor Kalabhavan Mani is in the role of offender. His past history is in that direction.

Range officer U.G. Ramesan and beat forester P. Raveendran sustained injuries on the chest, hands, legs and eyes. They were admitted to the Chalakudy Taluk Hospital.  Raveendran was later shifted to the Government Medical College Hospital, Mulankunnathukavu. His condition is serious. It has been reported that Mani and a person he addressed as doctor assaulted the foresters. The forest officials said that Mani was inebriated.

This is something very bad from a celebrity who is bound to behave as the role model for his fans. It is a pity that celebrities enjoy special privilege in police assault too and that is why Mani was not arrested. The culprit, being a celebrity, should not go scot-free in a State where ”the law takes its own course”.

Stupid PR exercise.

Photo

The report about the Madhya Pradesh Congress adopting the 10-year-old newspaper vendor who gave a newspaper free to Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi, because he had no change for 1000 rupee note, indicates that the PR Mangers of the future PM are a useless lot. The whole episode calls up the past story of son embracing mother and weeping when he was elevated to the post of vice-president of the Congress party.  The small boy is seemingly more sensible as he did not prefer to take 1000 rupees from Mr. Rahul Gandhi the future PM who  is unaware of the fact that a news paper boy never getsa collection in tune with Rs 1000 for his entire business for a day.

The public relations managers’ story again fails when one thinks how with the security ring around Rahul Gandhi, a 10 year old boy could approach him. Could not modern gandhians around  the next PM  have given the money to the boy.  The whole episode shows sign of a miserable PR work out.

In Kerala, while KPCC President Remesh Chennithala is on a walk for money,  one congress man offered gold ring worth Rs30000,other offered currency garland of Rs 25000. Though this is evidently against the Reserve Bank directive of not to punch currency notes, they are not as foolish as Madhya Pradesh congress men who ‘adopted’ the way-side news paper boy.

Face saver Antony.

The Congress Vice –President Rahul Gandhi asks Karnataka leaders to hear A K Antony and do what Antony says. On the other hand KPCC president Ramesh Chennithala, who is Kerala tour to save the State asks  A.K. Antony to involve himself more in the Congress’ affairs in Kerala. Antony is busy with Delhi politics, then how could he pay more attention in various states. Moreover he is in the threshold of becoming the PM as Manmohan Singh and a few of his ministers are the shadow of corruption.

The clean image of Antony is a face saver for the Congress party, nevertheless, he is the mute spectator of all sort of corruption in the central cabinet.  Lending all support all corrupt colleagues is yet another corruption but Antony is seen least bothered on it.

A pawn in the game

The assault on Sarabjit Singh in a jail in Lahore resulted from a serious lapse in security. The government of Pakistan should take full responsibility for the slip. India’s ministry of external affairs should also be blamed for its failure to bring back Singh to the country while he was alive. Though the prime minister has announced an ex-gratiapayment of Rs 25 lakh to Singh’s family, the money can hardly compensate for the loss of life. The government should step up the diplomatic pressure on Pakistan.

Bansal should quit.

Railway Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal should resign to ensure fair investigation in the case related to the arrest of his nephew for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs.90 lakh.. It is a serious matter and Bansal should have resigned.

Why the government is trying to protect him is obvious because more corrupt are the other ministers. The Congress party is seemingly against abandoning the corrupt. I wonder why the so-called  'clean' leaders like A K Antony go with the corrupt ministry.

Cadbury's licking creatures!

The Cadbury Company with their dairy milk ad have made man and woman licking ugly creatures.  What are the ingredients in Cadbury's dairy milk chocolate? Lots of sugar and milk.  New studies have exposed that milk and dairy products have many bad health effects and consumption sugar is the sure reason for acute diabetics.  It is the obligation of the health department to give warning about eating of diary milk chocolate but they do not care.

So it is the responsibility of the  all sensible people to abandon this garbage product.

Stop bilateral relation with Pak.

Photo

\

The death of Sarabjit Singh after a brutal assault in Pakistan jail was a sad incidence which should never have happened. It is a sign of  irresponsibility of the Pakistan government. There has been a serious lapse on the part of the jail authorities in Pakistan for which suitable action should be taken against them.
The External Affairs Ministery in India should be blamed for its unsuccessful attempt to bring back Sarabjit Singh alive  to India.   Though Sarabjit's family was in desperate bid to save his life the External Ministry of India have failed to muster a world opinion on the issue.

It is time for us to stop all the bilateral relation with Pakistan till that country starts behaving and we need to protect our citizen from all such barbaric acts of other countries.

Border standoff

Photo: തിരുനാളിനോടനുബന്ധിച് അര്‍ത്തുങ്കല്‍ തീരത്തെ തിരക്കുള്ള ഒരു സായാഹ്നം...

The outcome of the flag meet at the borders is as anticipated. The standoff with China is imminent, primarily because we as a nation believe it is intrusion by China, and they believe that is their legitimate right citing British era situations. If the former CPM Secretary EMS were alive he might have again said  the disputed land “is owned by us as we say and  is owned by them, the Chinese say.”  The tight lipped stance of left leaders in India about Chinese aggression is doubtful.

The boundary standoff is of  prime importance than communalism and economic problems. The nation should deliberate on border dispute with China and people should think of this issue. It is the time for the Defence Minister, External Affairs Minister and the Prime Minister to wake up.
