Supporting students

#Supporting students
The concerns raised by Kerala's General Education Minister, V. Sivankutty, regarding the strain imposed on students during SSLC examinations are understandable and commendable. However, it is disappointing that the same level of attention and consideration is not extended to students facing anxiety during Kerala entrance examinations or NEET.. These exams are crucial for students aspiring to pursue higher education, and their stress should not be overlooked.

Furthermore, the situation is exacerbated by institutions like the Pala Brilliant Study Centre, which conduct their own entrance examinations for admission to their classes. This additional layer of stress only compounds the pressure on students and their families. It is essential for the minister to address these issues comprehensively and ensure that all students, regardless of the type of examination they are preparing for, are provided with adequate support and resources to alleviate their anxiety.

In light of these challenges, it is imperative for the minister to devise a holistic plan to reduce the overall burden on students. This may involve implementing measures such as providing mental health support services, revising examination formats to be less stressful, and regulating the practices of private coaching centres to mitigate unnecessary strain. By taking proactive steps to address these concerns, the minister can ensure a more equitable and supportive educational environment for all students in Kerala.
