Mockery of democracy

#Mockery of democracy
The spectacle of sitting MLAs and ministers, who are already in office with a further term of two years, throwing their hats into the Lok Sabha election ring is a prime example of political self-indulgence. Instead of focusing on their current responsibilities and serving their constituents diligently, these politicians seem more concerned with securing their next political perch.

It's a disheartening display of opportunism and a blatant disregard for the needs of the electorate they were elected to serve. Rather than addressing pressing issues  they are consumed by their own or their party's ambition. This makes a stereotype of politicians as power-hungry individuals more interested in personal gain than public service.

This practice not only wastes precious resources and time but also undermines the democratic process itself. By diverting attention and resources away from governance and towards electioneering, these incumbent MLAs and ministers perpetuate a cycle of stagnation and neglect.
The needs and concerns of the people take a backseat to political maneuvering. It's a mockery of democracy.

These MLAs who are  entrusted with the responsibility of governance prioritize their own career advancement over the well-being of the nation. If politicians truly cared about serving the public, they would commit to their current roles wholeheartedly instead of treating them as mere stepping stones to higher office. Politics is meant to serve the people, not one’s ego.
