“Unto sand you shall return”

“Remember, O man, that you are dust, and unto dust you shall return” (Genesis 3:19) says Bible. In one its Malayalam versions it is read as sand instead of dust. And this has been fully understood by Kerala Finance Minister Thomas Isaac to find a good buck for the state revenue. He has determined to sell sand for making money. All the river sand available in Kerala will be sold immediately

Isaac recently is in a desperate bid for making money for the immediate payback of pension benefits about Rs 3000 crores for all the 25000 plus employees retiring on March 31. His innovative methods of money procurement such as all day state lottery, corruption free check posts and three times helmet fine did not yield much result. And now the only hope is sand. O man, that you are sand, and unto sand you shall return.
