Reporter TV owner Anto Augustine's untrue and highly condemnable revelations against Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan are tarnishing the political and media culture of Kerala.
A clear picture needs to be brought out about the secret groups that approached the media with fake documents and allegations against the Chief Minister of a state, and the political agendas behind it. Anto Augustine, who forgot the role of the media, prepared a platform for such fake propaganda and raised allegations against the responsible state head without investigating the facts, should be subjected to strong police interrogation.
Making the media a victim of unfair political rivalry that goes to any extreme to destroy the democratically elected government is a huge threat to constitutional institutions and democracy itself.
The activities of such channel owners who misuse channels for personal or political narrow interests instead of bringing honest news to the people are extremely dangerous. It is imperative to legally stop such heinous moves that are trying to create a smokescreen in the society and mislead the people by making false allegations.
If the real forces behind the conspiracy behind the fabrication of fake documents are not identified and brought to justice, it will send a very wrong message to the general public of Kerala. Strong legal action and public protests must be raised against such unscrupulous tendencies in the media.
