Road safety authority in sleep.

The number of accidents on NH 47 is going to be zeroed soon not with any significant measures taken by the Road safety department of the State but with the renumbering of the road. The national Highway 47 soon would figure in another name.

The pedestrians and vehicle owners are, in fact, find a tough time to commute on this road. Road side vendors and hoardings are innumerable which make safety driving without a solution. Almost all junctions are occupied with fish vendors making the scene unsightly. The authorities take no action to clean the road sides. The school children are the most sufferers not only of the overcrowding of the road side but of the filthy words used by the fish and vegetable vendors. Would anyone take care to send these vendors to places meant for them and thereby to reduce the congestion on the road side?

The safety of drivers and pedestrians should be the top priority of the authority in charge, especially now that no new highways projects are under consideration. The government should implement infallible system to reduce the number of deaths on our roads and to develop road safety plans and subject those plans to review.
