Rift between CPI and CPM

If anyone thinks that the present rift between CPI and CPM is ideological, he is in fool’s paradise. It is all due to the new found friendship of CPI leaders with CPM veteran V S Achuthanandan. The most respectable leader has become the worst foe of neo-liberalistic leaders of CPM and that is what surfaced as the row over ‘event management’ or something of the sort. What is wrong in the words ‘event’ and ‘management’ when workers of the party do similar job for the summit?

The real loser in the present CPM imbroglio is former Finance Minister and the CPM ideologist Dr T M Thomas Isaac. Isaac was sent to corner by the official faction just because of his unsuccessful reckoning about the future of the party. The learned should also fail and that is what one see in the case of Isaac.

No doubt, the leaders of the CPI and CPM in the state have created confusion about the relationship between the LDF parties and it is not temporary as someone think. Any further humiliation or action against VS would result in extra rift in the Left Front.
