Shumbhan comment

It sounds as if Marxist party is badly in need of two-three young martyrs and that is why its leader M V Jayarajan, who faces contempt of court proceedings for his remarks against judges, has given an open call to SFI activists to beat the police official Radahakrishna Pillai responsible for the Calicut police firing. He asks SFI need not be afraid to beat Pillai when he is not in his uniform. Obviously this sort of comment often originates only from a “Shumbhan’ as there is no restriction for a Police Official to hold a pistol when not in uniform.

Interestingly Jayarajan stresses the need to respect officials when they are in their uniform. And that is why his party’s student’s wing often pelts stone at the police. The report of Additional Chief Secretary K Jayakumar that the police official had opened the fire not to harm the students but to pave way for taking the injured police officials to the hospital, has no validity before Marxist leaders. And if not feel secured under Congress rule, Pillai can think of joining the RSS. None thereafter think of attacking Pillai.
