Needed iron hand for combating terrorism

It is highly shocking to read Maoist rebels killing 74 members of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and two policemen from the Chhattisgarh police in Dantewada district. The incident indicates that not only the ordinary people but the police men in India also live in dangerous conditions.

It has now become an urgent necessity to combat terrorism in India and we need a time bound solution. There is sufficient vocal combat from ministers when attacks occur but none is seen accountable for the accident. Proposals for anti-terror law should be meticulously discussed and police and military should be supplied with most modern gadgets to combat terrorism. Terrorism in India is not a one-off problem and it cannot be addressed simply in crisis management mode. We need a solution preferably an iron-hand to contain both homegrown and imported terrorism acts.
