Ministers making money

Varied are the ways of ministers in India for making money. When the ministers from states collect a feeble sum from abkari contactors and land grabbers it is a matter of big hue and cry in the state. But when one focuses at ministers of the central cabinet the amount of bribe is in tune with several crores and it not even becomes a matter of debate. It is often an awful practice in Indian stock market to spread bad news about a company after selling the shares in possession by the minister or his kin. When the price is down the minister’s men would repurchase the entire shares at a low cost. Similar to this bogus news from minister’s office would create panic buyers of certain company shares and minister is able to book huge sum by way of speculation. Nevertheless when matter comes to ministers of international acclaim like Shashi Tharoor the way of booking profit is a special one.

Shashi Tharoor’s association with Kochi IPL team franchisee consortium Rendezvous Sports World and his war of words with IPL Supremo Lalit Modi tell that it is all not well with minister Tharoor. People feel the minister is not as straight as he claims to be.
The story of the relation between Tharoor and Sunanda Pushkar, who is said to have 18 percent stake in the Kerala IPL franchisee, can be believed, in that case the hands of Tharoor are not clear. He could not easily wash out from the present mess.

Meanwhile, it is quite jousting to see that some cricket lovers from Kerala is in the rescue of Tharoor. They say that the Minister has the freedom to keep his personal secrets. He has already denied any kind of relationship with Sunanda Pushkaer. This is quite absurd because an Indian Minister should be clear in all facets whether it is his public life or private.
