Kerala Finance Minister Dr T M Thomas Isaac in his sixth budget in the five year term has declared Rs 40000 crore road development by using the money to be collected through non-existent Al Mubarak Bank based on Shari yet principle. Like wise Central Finance Minister has exempted tax for Rs five lakh for persons above 80 years of age. As it is impossible to get money as Thomas Isaac planned and ordinary people, except a few privileged politicians, never survive above eighty, the two schemes are apparently the best budget jokes of the year.
