The Kerala Congress leader K M Mani is in soup for quite long because of
his alleged involvement in one crore bar bribery case. And that is why his close
lieutenant P C George came with barb against the ministry in which he is the Chief
Whip. George in a statement has openly praised the activities of Maoists and
wanted the state to desist from hunting them down. He accused officials of
misappropriating crores of rupees in the name of amassing weapons for this witch-hunt.
According to him Maoists are fighting on the side of justice for the disadvantaged
classes, like the Adivasis.
If George is that much concerned about the Maoists he should soon resign from
the ministry and join hands with them. Nevertheless his attire is not suited for
a job of the Maoists. George is
insincere in his word and deed. In fact Maoists are wayward group and they have
nothing to do with mainstream politics. George’s intention is something else,
even a school boy can understand it. George is highly redundant in UDF Ministry.
