On desperate defence.

BCCI president N Srinivasan saying that the charges made against him and his family were part of a conspiracy by a north Indian lobby in the cricket body to malign south Indians, is a defense in despair.  It is not a secret that his son-in-law is involved in the criminal offense.

It is often the habit of criminals defending themselves with false arguments. For instance Azharauddin once said he was being targeted because he was a Muslim. Now Sreenivasan says he is being targeted because he is a Tamilian. In fact the players, film stars, politicians, channel heads and the BCCI had connections with bookies. It is unwise to bring the region and religion based politics to criminal acts. The comment by Srinivasan is cheap and silly.
