This refers to the news report, “Diesel, LPG prices hiked” (June 25). Repeated increase in the price of LPG and kerosene shows that the Government has no concern for the poor or even the country’s middle class. The price hike has hit the common man like a bolt from the blue. In the past year alone, the Government increased the price of oil nearly 10 times.
Hence, the present hike in fuel prices will only add to the miseries of the aam aadmi who is already bearing the brunt of spiraling food inflation. That a hike in fuel prices will also have a directly proportional impact on the prices of other essential food items only makes matters worse.
