It is the post-mortem time in Kerala. Soon after
the inquiry and arrest of one-two-three killers M M Moni et al, the Kerala
Police has taken over re-investigation of the murder case of KT Jayakrishnan in Kannur in 1999. The
Government took the decision to reopen the case on the basis of the disclosure
made by TK Rajeesh, arrested for the murder of TP Chandrasekharan.
And enquiry on the killing of Nalppadi Vasu and few
others are in the offing. If this trend continues more and more police men
would be recruited to meet the growing need. The hell-bound street duty of the
police to squeeze two and four wheeler owners to fill the state coffers need
much man hours of the police. And if post-mortem cases increase in the recent
proportion there would be high dearth of the police men to maintain law and order.
