The remarks of Delhi CM Sheila Dikshit that 'Rs 600 is
enough to feed family of five for one month' is obnoxious. This I say for a simple
reason. Indian Coffee Houses run by Thrissur based cooperative society in
Kerala charges Rs 31 for one ‘masala dosa’. Hardly one gets 20 dosa for rupees 600.
Does Delhi CM mean that 20 dosa is sufficient for a family of five one month. In
my opinion not even a single rupee is needed if all the five members lie down
and watch the sky for all the days in a month
Ms Dikshit’s remarks are bound to make her party
uncomfortable, especially since the Congress would be hoping to take advantage
of on the scheme in view of the assembly elections that are slated next year.
The party is already promoting the latest venture, due to be implemented on
April 1 next year, with a slogan, 'aapka paisa, aapke haath' (your money in
your hands), as one for the aam aadmi. If Sheila Dikshit has said as reported
it is sure that there are ignorant people, as PM put it, among Chief Ministers
too. Dikshit needs some sort of education to understand the way in which the
country lopes.
Ms Dikshit comment is derogatory and insensitive as they
are the people who spent Rs 600 per minute for themselves and ask a family of
five to sustain for one month with Rs 600. The Delhi CM should be ashamed of
making such irrelevant statement.
