Air travel and Incubation Circus

#AirTraveland #IncubationCircus
The UDF is proving once again that WhatsApp and email are just decorations and that the speed of pigeon messages is still needed to take crucial decisions.

The great truth that the observers came and found after 24 hours of brainstorming is that old one-liner "Let the high command decide". The leaders are adamant that a CM baby will hatch only after flying to Delhi with this precious piece of paper and staying there in complete secrecy for three days.

If the people voted because they were tired of seeing corruption in the administration, where else would they find such a modern way to poke fun at those people?

Fortunately, this time the observers have a vest left over. The voters are afraid that by the time they decide on the person by looking at the size and weight of the groups and doing the distribution, it will be time for the next election.

If you see this way of waiting for the blessings of the high command and talking about it for kilometers, it seems that Kerala should be governed by those sitting in air-conditioned rooms in Delhi. These discussion planes are flying on the chests of the poor people who voted with their palms only because they had no other choice.

In any case, they may have held their breath until Sunday; maybe that good news will land on that day!

Let Satheesan be the CM

#Let_Satheesan_be_the_CM
V.D. Satheesan, who led the United Democratic Front like a 'one-man army' to an unforgettable victory in the recent assembly elections, is the most deserving  for the post of Chief Minister of Kerala. More than just a political leader, we have seen his ability to study issues in depth and present them on the basis of facts, both inside and outside the assembly.

The criticisms raised by Satheesan as the Leader of the Opposition during the last government were not simply politically motivated. On the contrary, each argument was based on accurate documents and figures. Although there was a situation where his struggle was ridiculed as 'Pinarayi's B team', he showed the Malayalis what a constructive opposition is.

His political vision on development issues and the relentless fight he waged against the corruption of the Pinarayi government were the qualifications required of a ruler.

Satheesan is distinguished by his unyielding stance against threats from communal leaders. The tough stances taken against him by caste leaders including Vellappally Natesan and Sukumaran Nair should actually be seen as his extra qualification to become the Chief Minister. His zeal to confront the people on the strength of secularism, without succumbing to the pressure of caste and religious forces, is a model for modern Kerala.

Taking the Muslim League, the main constituent of the front, into confidence is part of political strategy; it can only strengthen secular unity. There is no doubt that the League, with 23 MLAs, is a decisive force in the assembly.
People expect uncompromising action against corruption and nepotism from Satheesan. It is the general sentiment of Kerala that the embezzlement and corruption of the previous government should be prosecuted.

It is essential to put an end to the 'settlement' politics of people being given various posts through the back door even after retirement

He should be able to ensure that employees from the Chief Secretary to the lowest level work in accordance with the Constitution without political pressure.

As a leader with educational qualifications and a modern outlook, it is hoped that Satheesan's leadership will be able to solve unemployment, prevent students from leaving the country and give a new direction to the development of Kerala.

His constitutional stance and clarity in policy decisions will make V.D. Satheesan a strong administrator. May he be able to determine the future of Kerala with foresight and actively intervene in the problems of the people.

Let us hope that the hands of the Chief Minister, Satheesan, will be able to put an end to the stagnation facing Kerala.

Useless Exit Polls

#Useless_Exit_ Polls
Exit polls have become a kind of Kudumbashree entertainment that can be enjoyed in channel discussions until the election results are out. The egg, the hair, the tree, the cotton, the forest,  all are mixed together and left on the channel.

In a country where even the voters are not sure what is in the voting machine, this astrology is being served in the name of scientific prediction by a few people sitting in the corner of some room. Whether it is P-mark or PV-mark, if the prediction is wrong when the results come, we can prepare for the next survey by singing the constant refrain that the sampling size has decreased.

In short, the only benefit that a person who stands in the sun and votes is getting a chance to laugh for a while at the results of these surveys and fight on social media. These surveys, which the media celebrates as the biggest joke in democracy, are actually a challenge to the voters.

While voters are sitting at home drinking coffee, it is not clear who these magic numbers are being concocted by some interested parties to appease. There are every reason for the losers to say, "This is all just a joke" and the winners to say, "This is the verdict of the people."

Since it is certain that old survey papers will not even be used to wrap vegetables when the results are out, it is wise to see all this as a 'time pass' and enjoy it. If a law is passed that allows forecasters to be jailed for two weeks for dividing the people if the prediction results are wrong, there may be some relief for the useless exit polls.

Care of the caretaker government

#Care_of_the_caretaker_government.
When you see the excessive enthusiasm of a caretaker government that has clung to the seat of power even after leaving power, it reminds you of the time when the family heirloom hid the key to the palace before stepping down.

The caretaker government, which is only allowed to pay daily expenses, suddenly decided to suspend senior IAS officer Dr. B. Ashok for the survival of the country! The strange thing is that neither the prior permission of the Election Commission nor the cadre controlling authority of the Central Government hindered this 'necessary' enthusiasm. This government has also found a new meaning for the word administrative necessity, namely settling political disputes.

What else is this action, which considered the strict supervision and legal threads of the election period as straw, but a repetition of old atrocities?  While waiting for the verdict after the voting, the caretaker government did not waste the golden opportunity to prove that party interest is bigger than the Constitution. Where else can there be a better time to smoke a bureaucrat and jump out for mere political reasons?

The people are not turning a blind eye to this conspiracy of the caretaker government, who flout the laws and bypass the Election Commission, but are enjoying a bonus that was received before the election results as a joke. It seems that whoever played a role in B Ashokan's suspension will soon have to face the court.

Kerala political circus

#Kerala_Political_Circus !
Although the LDF occasionally dreams of getting the government, the Congress is already ready to look at the files in the secretariat. Even before the government is in hand, the 'group game' is at its peak load on who will be in the CM's chair.

There are leaders who are looking to divide Kerala like a cake, with one person getting Travancore and the other Malabar.

Amid the titles of B team captain and A team coach, the cadres are eagerly awaiting the lottery results to know whether K.C. Venugopal will fly down from Delhi or whether Kunhalikutty Sahib from Malabar will rule Alkheralam as the CM.

If you look at this tug-of-war over the CM's post, it seems that the United Democratic Front is not going to get a simple majority, but as if all 140 seats have been written off!

On the other hand, the electricity department has given the people a shock treatment just when they are about to roll up their sleeves and get out of bed. Peak load management is now plunging Kerala into darkness as if they don't want electricity for those who don't vote for them.

Thus, while the reborn Kerala is now searching for a new Chief Minister by candlelight, the current Chief Minister is making to weep.the number one health state and the Health Minister, by performing cataract surgery outside Kerala

While the poor people are ready to faint at the sight of the upcoming electricity bill, the leaders are fighting each other to grab the foot of the chair of power.

In short, the people groping in the dark, the rulers who don't see the light, and the opposition who are dreaming of a chair and are sleeping, have turned Kerala into a first-class political circus.

When it is hot?

#When it gets hot?
The Child Rights Commission's discovery that the sun's heat is only intense in the school compound and turns into a cool breeze when it reaches the interior of the house is shocking to the scientific world.

The question remains whether children will have to wake up at 5 am and go to school with milk and newspaper delivery people to implement the order to finish classes before 10:30 am

Believing that children are safe when they are at home, will the Commission issue the next revolutionary order to distribute robots to every house to serve lunch to children who are left alone at home by their working parents and to keep them safe?

Instead of the simple logic of not playing in the sun during the summer, it is difficult to understand what kind of child protection is being implemented by sending children out on the streets at 10:30 and walking them home in the midday sun.

The Commission's foresight that if it is scorching hot outside, it is better to sit in front of the TV in an empty house or in the kitchen, fiddling with a mobile phone, than to sit under a fan in a school room is immense!

It would be good to examine the Commission's glasses to realize that such AC room decisions, which are not based on practicality and living conditions, will do more harm than good to children.

Ritual impropriety

#Ritual #Impropriety.
The act of Nanda Govindam Bhajans, who sang a Christian devotional song while performing a bhajan at the Vempinkulangara Sree Mahavishnu Temple in Kottayam, is ritual impropriety. Every place of worship has its own uniqueness, customs and codes of belief. Any art group should respect them and behave in a manner appropriate to that environment.

Singing a prayer song of another religion on the sacred platform of one religious sect is tantamount to ignoring the concepts of that place of worship and the feelings of the devotees, rather than being friendly towards other religions. If we consider the possible consequences of trying such methods in places of worship of other religions, we can see that this singing of songs in the temple premises is an unnecessary subordination and a violation of religious etiquette.

This group has made a huge mistake in preserving the originality of the art form of bhajan.  It is foolish to think that religious harmony will be fostered here by such singing.

Developmental greatness

#Developmental #Greatness
It is fortunate that the minister did not say that the cracks in the houses built in the Churalmala Township are not a construction defect, but an innovative technology to increase ventilation in the houses. If we listen to the minister's justifications, starting from Kinar Golu to Varagolu, we may feel that all the people of this country have problems with their eyesight. Trolls called Koolippani Rajan are also celebrated on social media

When the miraculous movement called Uralungal is being built, it is natural that the Perumpalam bridge, which cost one hundred crores, will reach two hundred and seventy crores. If people doubt whether this extra amount was set aside to buy epoxy glue to seal the cracks in advance, they cannot be blamed.  We have other ministers who are smart enough to say, "Even if we see a crack in the bridge tomorrow, it is a gap for the fish in the lake to look up."

The minister who declares that houses leak when it rains is a fake news created by the media is a huge mistake. There is only one way out in the face of a government that does not value the tears and complaints of the people; take out that magical K-nativity card and wave it once again. The mapras hanging in the crack will jump onto the card.

First, let's see how we can plug the leak of this construction waste, which was carried out by throwing away the money generously donated by the public without any criteria. Let's not forget that the ministers who are waiting to step down will not be worth anything in the face of the people's conviction that whatever card they wave to cover the cracks of corruption, it will not be worth anything.

Masked Analysis

#Masked #analysis
The post-poll seat projections churned out by several news channels have become less about analysis and more about manufactured narratives. With only 140 seats in the Kerala Assembly, it is logically absurd that combined projections across channels casually cross 300 seats.
.
This exposes a deeper problem. These figures are not grounded in data integrity but in speculative exaggeration designed to influence public perception.
.
Instead of responsibly interpreting voter sentiment, many channels appear to be competing in sensationalism. They stretch numbers, amplify selective trends, and present guesswork as near-certainty. Such practices erode the credibility of media and insult the intelligence of the electorate.

Even more concerning is the growing suspicion that these projections are not entirely neutral. When certain fronts are consistently awarded disproportionately high seat shares without transparent methodology, it raises valid questions about bias and possible external influence. Media houses have a duty to inform, not to manipulate or pre-condition public opinion ahead of official results.

Stronger norms, transparent survey methods, and accountability mechanisms are urgently needed to curb this trend. Until then, viewers must treat such post-poll surveys with caution, recognizing them not as facts, but as potentially motivated narratives masquerading as analysis.

The polling figures

#The #polling #figures
While the Left is dreaming of the sweetness of a continuation of the rule, the UDF camp says it will win a century and come to power. The NDA is also the kingmaker by winning no less than 15 seats with the slogan "Government for you, power for us".

However, the real hero this time is none other than the real SIR. The incidents of the deceased wearing white clothes and going out at night to make friends with the polling officials and casting fake votes the next day were not reported. This invisible control has made many leaders feel nervous.
The situation of some election officials who did not read the presiding officer's handbook even once was worse than some leaders who entered the field without knowing the election rules. That official who spent four hours trying to find out which finger was which before applying ink to the voter's finger must be a researcher in reality.  These people, who show such stubbornness in the name of an unknown law, whether in their own homes or in the office, are unexpected obstacles in the democratic process.
While Chandy Oommen's no-poster, no-pot-and-pan model in Puthuppally is a brave example that future candidates can try, some other scenes were not so pleasant. The satyagraha dramas in front of the booth and the clashes between the supporters outside the booth tarnished the festive image of democracy. The stabbings and other unpleasant incidents that took place in the meantime became a shame for the entire country.

Those who talk about development and law should have taken care that the enthusiasm of the supporters does not turn into violence. In the race for votes, we should at least be careful that human values do not get trapped in the voting machine.

People's expectation

#People's #Expectation
Here are some of the essential issues that should be the priority issues of the government that comes to power in the next election

Schools and villages that are being controlled by the liquor and drug mafia, death pits on roads that threaten lives, youths who are fleeing to other countries due to unemployment, and hospitals that are suffocating due to lack of basic facilities: all these together question the survival of Kerala. When crop failure and price collapse are debilitating the farmers, institutions like Supplyco are selling dead stock of puttu powder even during elections without providing the necessary assistance.

The lack of safety for girls and ordinary people on the roads, backdoor appointments using PSC as a pawn, goondaism, injustice on the part of the police, excessive fees and fines for government services, etc. make a mockery of the claim of a "developed society". The style of government where promises often turn into empty words is increasing disappointment and distrust among the people.

When landslides, floods and epidemics cause misery, the government's style of making money by neglecting disaster management is a cause for great concern. In a situation where even basic things like salaries, pensions and rations are uncertain, the people are not demanding any extraordinary benefits. On the contrary, they are demanding only the right to live with dignity. The people hate a government that thinks it can continue to govern by increasing the public debt.

The country needs a government that does not suffocate the people, but one that protects their basic rights. The people's hope is that the incoming government will be prepared to take these matters seriously and act.

Psychopath

#Psychopath
In a movement that is supposed to hold its colleagues and followers together with affection, anointing its predecessor with harsh clinical terms like psychopath  violates all boundaries of political etiquette.

It is a bit of a stretch to call a leader who has been active in public life for decades and has proven his administrative excellence a 'psychopath' without any scientific basis.

When such expressions are made against a political guru who has guided generations, it is tantamount to insulting not only his personality but also the values built on which a movement has been built. When this case reaches court, there is no doubt that this young doctor of political diagnosis will sweat.

This psychopathic call is so cruel that it seems that the Rs 50 lakhs asked for as compensation has decreased.  When there are so many respectable words left in the dictionary to express political disagreements, it is pure ignorance to serve expressions that should be carried with a medical certificate in front of the microphone.

Those who defame G Sudhakaran, a leader who dedicated his entire political life to the people, will only understand that words have weight when they are spent on litigation and legal fees. If they are forced to go to court and finally apologize and hold their heads high, it will be a clear warning against such locust expressions in politics.

Nunesha-Nunarai War

#Nunesha_Nunarai #War.
Those who played the drama in the shade of the AC in the assembly for five years are now preparing for a debate in the heat of the election. Seeing this, the eyes of all Malayalis who are going to the polling booth on April 9 are rolling together. The people should put their fingers in the ballot box after seeing this holy war they are going to wage!

The opposition, which did not even dare to ask the government, which had given a public debt of Rs. 6.5 lakh crore, 'What is this?', now sets a date for the debate, and it seems that they were on some other planet until today. It will be fun to watch this 'friendly match' to somehow wake up the poor voters who are feeling bored with the polling booth.

When one sees this tussle between the ruling party and the opposition here, he is reminded of the villain and hero in the  Thattupolippan movie, eating biryani from the same plate after the shooting.  When corruption and debt trap engulf the country, this adjustment politics of 'one for me, one for you', which confines the agitations to mere press releases, has no more life.

The excitement of seeing the alternative force called NDA growing as a threat among them is now coming out as a debate. These discussions, which try to deceive the people by making noise even though the pot is empty, are just a farce, and the people will prove it when they stand in front of the voting machine.

Kayamkulam sword

#Kayamkulam_Sword
For Malayalis who have heard heroic tales about the sharpness of the Kayamkulam sword, the legend of tears heard from Kayamkulam is a bit surprising. In place of the double-edged sword that was used to cut and stab the enemy, the candidates are now taking out the cutting sword called 'Kayamkulam Karachil' to make the voter fall.

Whether it is a lament over defeat or a rant against personal beauty insults, the election procession in Kayamkulam has now become the set of a melodrama movie.
It is a curious sight in democracy that candidates have to carry kerchiefs instead of development documents when they come to ask for votes.

Do the candidates think that this excessive emotional display will touch the hearts of the voters or make them laugh?

Bearing witness to the history of Kayamkulam that calls for manhood, it is pertinent to worry that if these leaders who shed tears without any determination become the leaders of the country, the people will also have to cry tomorrow. While political battles should be fought with ideas and action plans, it would be enough if this river of tears did not overflow the Kayamkulam lake after the elections.

It would be better for the country if the candidates, realizing that a little efficiency is better than crying to influence voters, gave their tear glands a little rest.

Shadow War

#Shadow #War
Thomas Isaac and G. Sudhakaran are Mallayas who rowed in the same boat in the backwaters of Alappuzha but kept their eyes on only two shores. While one measured the whole world with his theories and corrected America, the other wanted to stand on the soil of Alappuzha.

The self-reliance shown by Sudhakaran, who, despite being offered a big chair in Delhi, kept to himself and said, "My Ambalappuzha is enough for me," is unattainable even in Isaac's dreams today. While Isaac is an orphan in the election fray today, Sudhakaran's strong moves in Ambalappuzha as an independent with Congress support are a new textbook for political Kerala.

Time has shown that Sudhakaran's precaution of coming to the stage only after asking three times whether Isaac had left was not in vain. The Isaac was a mere advisor of unrealistic matter while G, a pragmatist. When Isaac played a drama with a hug in the case of Omanakuttan of Cherthala, who collected  money from those gathered at a relief camp during the floods in 2018, Sudhakaran had appeared as the true leader of the people, who set out the facts and corrected Omanakuttan

That old refrain of Isaac, who insults film actors  by calling them 'comics', has now fallen on his own head like a thunderbolt. If you see the same people who brought Innocent and Mukesh into politics coming out to mock Ramesh Pisharody, there will be no one who does not put a finger to their nose.

When we see Isaac, who asked  to enjoy the breeze and coolness of Munnar to the fullest, being trashed on social media today, it is clear that people are not as quick to forget events as politicians think. In any case, Isaac will not dare to pass a comment against Sudhakaran like Vijayaraghavan. And just as Sudhakaran knows who will rule and who will fall in the land of Alappuzha, Isaac, who went to repair Konni, Ranni and the entire Pathanamthitta in the meantime, does not know.

Perumbavoor ilayadalapathi

#Perumbavoor #Ilayadalapathi
The political antics of Eldhose Kunnappilly, the 'Ilayadalapathi' of Perumbavoor, are now a hit on social media like a Tamil film. Anyone who sees the style, glasses and that burst of laughter  makes you think he is the brother of actor Vijay.

When the occasional burst of poetry is added to the style of reciting it out loud and making people laugh, it seems that Kunnappilly is an event. But the truth is that this poetry and laughter have no effect on the candidate selection. The Congress's K.C. and V.D. know exactly that if Kunnappilly, who is suffering under the clutches of some young lady, is put back into the field, Perumbavoor will be lost.

Kunnappilly, who was disappointed after being denied a seat, went straight to A.K.  Antony, the worn-out lion who has lost its temper. Antony, who we thought had retired from active politics, gave Kunnappilly enough peace of mind just as he pacified Sudhakaran in the Kannur seat. Antony is now the patron saint of leaders who are disappointed after being denied a seat

Antony gave Kunnappilly the peace of mind he lost in his own home after leaving his son Anil Antony to the BJP, which was a great relief. Another interesting sight in political Kerala is that Antony was able to give what he could not give to his son, to the MLA who came willingly.

Even if he did not get the seat, Kunnappilly has no intention of stopping his 'waxing' process. Just as Elizabeth Antony went to the Kripasanam and knelt down and prayed for her son's political future, people are eagerly waiting to see if Kunnappilly and his family will go to some church and pray for the next turn.  In any case, since it is certain that Kunnappilly's movie-style look and go-go calls will not be of any use in Perumbavoor this time, it is wise to adjust for the time being by writing and reading poetry.

Why is #G_Sudhakaran #becoming #independent?

It seems like a new language and a new grammar have been formed in political parties in Alappuzha. Some activists are shouting from the audience that calling someone who has left the party “comrade” is a great crime

Only comrades believe that the word comrade is so great.  To know how others view the word, one only has to browse social media. “Swarnam Kattavanarappa, Sakhakalanane Ayyappa” is a popular folk song that is widely heard.

If we look at the political history of Alappuzha, many leaders there have changed parties and renewed alliances many times. It was he who made all those in Alappuzha as comrades. In fact, who else but Sudhakaran,  was in charge of the party for 63 years? He was the most prominent person who taught the great lesson of alliance in Alappuzha,  Party Secretary MA Baby himself has stated that Sudhakaran is his political guru.

For some, he going to contest as an independent without renewing his membership seems like the biggest sin in the world. But if the same Sudhakaran had joined any party, they would have described it as a natural process of politics.

If one listens to this political rhetoric, which is ready to push him into an alliance with the "Indi" party he has to openly expresses his inclination towards the Congress.
If he needs to stand independently, it seems that the only place where he can work peacefully is the BJP.

Therefore, he should have joined the BJP and taken a strong stand. With that, the mouths of some people who are insulting him will be shut.

In politics, alliances and friendships can change within hours these days. The manly words spoken today will have to be swallowed without having water tomorrow. If that does not happen, it would be good if the party leaders understand that it is better to exercise some restraint in their speeches and allegations.

The main reason for Sudhakaran's departure from his old political party was not for prestige, but the fear of being ruled by those inferior to him in both education, experience  and service

New ways of public service

New ways of public service
KB Ganeshkumar, aka Ganeshan Minister, has become one of the rare phenomena in Kerala politics. He speaks and acts as if he has discovered a new standard of public service.

His ability to turn even the most secretive affairs of the Kottarakkara Keezhutt house into a public entertainment program is immense. He has found new meanings for the word public service. While he single-handedly completes the love affairs of 5000 women, as a minister, it does not matter to him even if the KSRTC buses in his department run without steering

Even while all this is going on, he knows how to keep his chair in the cabinet as it is. He brought down Oommen Chandy using a letter that he claims was written by a woman who had a fling at the Attakulangara prison resort. He also made Pinarayi sit in the chair.  Pinarayi cannot forget it,
That is why the government is silently enduring the uproar created by the Keezhut drama and protecting the minister.
The government is in a state of complacency, pretending that everything is fine while the state witnesses controversies and strange statements.

It is surprising how the people of Pathanapuram can remain silent while watching the long-running scandals of the Ganesan minister. The people should at least decide whether or not to continue such womanizers' dramas in politics.

A womanizer saying that he loves women is like a murderer saying that he loves his murders.

If Kerala is to be saved...?

#If Kerala is to be saved ....?
A strong move by the BJP is essential to put an end to the Left government that has trapped Kerala in debt and the Congress politics that is supporting it.

The government that has pushed the state into a huge debt of Rs 6.5 lakh crore and the Congress that is feasting at the national level as part of the 'Indi' alliance despite expressing opposition are two sides of the same coin.

The statements made by leaders like K. Muraleedharan to stop the growth of the BJP are mere political bankruptcy. The core of the change we are seeing today is not the importing of people from other parties, but the common people of Kerala, who are fed up with the current misrule, embracing the BJP based on their own convictions.

People have realized that the BJP should come to power to save Kerala by eliminating the Left-Congress fronts that are mired in corruption and nepotism.  Not only will the illusion of pushing the BJP to third place not materialize, but the people themselves will sweep away the old political styles that have brought about developmental stagnation and economic collapse.

No alliances that divide the people with the aim of vote bank can stop the BJP's popular advance. Kerala now wants a new political order led by the BJP to ensure development from the people and transparent governance.

Kerals Administration in final lap

#Kerala #administration in final lap
New evidence has emerged that the current administration in Kerala is moving towards its final phase. The Central Administrative Tribunal's intervention in the transfers of IAS officers in the state and demanding strict adherence to cadre rules seems to have given a brief break to the administration's "creative appointment style".

The freedom of the government to appoint anyone anywhere, without even having to be literate, has been curtailed. It is said that a sign has to be put up at the door of some offices stating that only IAS can enter. The fact that some posts, including the post of Excise Commissioner, can now be filled only by looking at the cadre list has become a new administrative experience for the administration.

There are other signs that the political atmosphere is also slowly changing.  Instead of the harsh words that were blaring through the microphone earlier, ministers have now started speaking in a more gentle language. The police's servile tone has changed a bit, which is a great relief. The occasional load shedding and the party cadres coming down to clean the Attukal temple premises that were swept clean are being interpreted as a trailer before the change of government.

It is very interesting to see prominent Marxist leaders from each district walking out of the party and even the leaders' cadres breaking into their houses to persuade them to "return". Political observers suspect that all this is a preparation for the formation of a new government in Kerala.

Family, party, platform

#Family, Party, Platform
Health Minister Veena George's husband George Joseph has written a letter to the CPM leadership requesting that she not contest the assembly elections. With this, Kerala politics has got a new family ethics. The husband will ask his wife not to contest, and the wife will ask her husband not to contest.

This marriage diplomacy, which officially informs the party what can be said directly to his wife, was also discussed in the Pathanamthitta district secretariat. Thomas Isaac, who is still frustrated by not getting a party seat, also submitted a report to the state leadership regarding Veena George's letter. It is doubtful whether there is a party strategy behind this to let Isaac contest from the Aranmula seat. The common story is that you do not know a thing about this party.

When party secretary M V Govindan was fielding his wife P K Shyamala as a candidate in Taliparamba, another husband in Pathanamthitta was asking him not to field his wife. Seeing this strange request, it seems that if his wife contests, she will immediately win.  Such a tone of opposition indicates that not only politics is number one in Kerala, but also the family is in struggle.

Hearing all this, one thing is clear: the main issue is not the fear of Veena George winning if she contests, but the husband's concern about who will be responsible if she loses. The real motivation for this letter is the conviction that the people know about her performance as Health Minister.

In the meantime, if Veena George's dramatic performance at Kannur Railway Station in front of the media is added, this political serial will now turn into a grand drama with three parts: 'Family, Party, Platform'. The gist of the minister's letter may be that politics is a cesspool and those who enter it will get dirty.

Laughter epidemic

#Laughter #epidemic
Science has proven that laughter is the greatest medicine available to man. It seems that it is time for this natural medicine, which reduces cortisol and increases endorphins, to become a government policy. Because now Kerala is experiencing a laughter epidemic. From a smile to a burst of laughter, all variants are being tested together on the face of the Chief Minister.

If we had laughed a little in the last five years, we would not have needed to distribute laughter continuously at inauguration venues like the debt relief campaign today. If we see the inauguration advertisements in the newspapers, they are like half-cooked biryani. When we see them, we feel like eating them, but we do not know what will happen to our stomachs if we eat them.

Meanwhile, in the episode prepared with Mohanlal, the Chief Minister laughs and laugh. Those who watched the episode speculated that the Chief Minister, who watches Rajinikanth's beatings with laughter, could not stop laughing after watching the beheading scene in the movie Jailer.

If science says that laughter increases immunity, then political science says that laughter tests the patience of voters.
The opposition leaders who saw all this had a simple doubt: if they laughed so much before the election, what will they do after the election? The people are in a deep crisis, not knowing whether to laugh or cry after seeing all this.

Here, on the one hand, there is laughter that produces endorphins. On the other hand, laughter that increases cortisol when remembering the regime. Finally, the new message that Kerala will give to the world will be this: Laughter is good for health, but excessive laughter can have political side effects.

There is nothing more frustrating than planned laughter

Mannam Samadhi should be made a public monument

#Mannam #Samadhi should be made a public monument.
The negative stance taken by NSS General Secretary Sukumaran Nair questions the constitutional respect of the country and the democratic nature of public places. Denying even the Vice President of India entry to Mannam Samadhi is nothing but a manifestation of personal political animosity.

The memorial of a great person named Mannam is not a private fortress of any organization; it is a public monument of the social history of Kerala. This approach of insulting even those with constitutional positions by insisting on keeping BJP leaders away is making the organization undemocratic. This is not permissible, it is an insult to the important positions of the nation.

The Central Government can take legal and administrative action against such actions. Mannam Samadhi should be declared a public monument and brought under the control of the Center or the State. Facilities should be provided for the public to freely enter and pay floral tributes there. Security and cleanliness should be ensured.

It is a dangerous trend to allow even those in public office to be banned based on the decision of a private organization. Therefore, this stance of the NSS General Secretary should be strongly condemned and the government should take the responsibility of converting Mannam Samadhi into a public monument open to all.

Musclespasan is a national tragedy

#Muscle #spasm is a national tragedy
If  one listens to the treatment story of Health Minister Veena George, he will feel that it is not the muscle in her neck that has been strained, but the government's PR muscle. The LDF government is playing an absurd drama with MRI and MR angiogram, medical board, and board on top of board for pain that can be relieved with a painkiller. Party Secretary M.V. Govindan's storytelling will make any hard-hearted person cry. If one sees all this, he will feel that the health department is not functioning as hospitals, but as drama sets.

The footage, including that of the railway CCTV, says that there was no violence. But what the government reports talk about is the national tragedy of muscle spasm. When doctors' ethics and medical equipment are combined to create a drama, what is lost is the public's trust.

Meanwhile, if you listen to the government's explanation that it has remanded the KSU members and ensured law and order, you will think that peace is enough within the walls of the prison, not outside. Protesting against the government's mismanagement is natural; but turning it into an attack drama and writing the script of the government is a tragic comedy. When people see the health department being turned into a circus camp by dancing to the tune of the male ministers in the cabinet, they think about the lack of intelligence of the department minister.

What people are seeing now in the health department is not treatment, but stories like making chapatis in the prison department and making profit. What I want to say to the allies of the Indi alliance, who are fighting each other and destroying party offices, is that they should not create martyrs. Lack of practical intelligence is the reason for the Veena minister's abandoned play that she can use her old acting skills and channel connections to support the sinking ship and its Karanbhooth captain.

Noise pollution a social responsibility

#Noise #pollution & #social #responsibility
It is not only a legal obligation but also a social responsibility to implement the government directives banning microphones and loudspeakers after 10 pm. However, it is extremely unpopular for some artists and event organizers to question this and adopt an approach such as the whole night program should be held and the locals should not sleep.

Festivals and celebrations are meant to bring joy to the community and should not be noise torture that tortures the sick, the elderly and children. If the program starts at 7 pm, it can be concluded at 10 pm with dignity. Not being ready for that is not freedom of art, but violation of the law and social arrogance. There are situations where even ceremonies in places of worship can be held after 10 pm without microphones. Even then, there are groups who rob people of their sleep by organizing Chenda Mela and Vadya celebrations. Such noise chaos cannot be justified in any way.

No community has the right to water down the law against noise pollution.  Be it Onam celebrations, festivals, political or cultural events, keeping the mic off after 10 pm is not a matter of discussion, it is a necessity. The police should come forward to strictly enforce this law. Exemplary action should be taken against those who violate the law. Only when the noise level is reduced can the public get peace, the patients get relief, and the children get healthy sleep.

When there are so many ways to celebrate without a mic, why do some people make high decibel noise and rob the peace of ordinary people? This is not culture, it is cruelty, and society should react strongly against this.

Data Leakage

#Data #Leakage
The government says “Digital Kerala”; the High Court says “Digital Eavesdropping”. When we see that the personal information of employees stored in Spark reached the Chief Minister’s office, it seems that it did not come through the internet, but through telepathy.

The government is unaware of the previous order that personal data should not be used for anything other than official purposes. Such a show is the number one major administrative reform of the state. When the Kerala High Court said that it was an invasion of privacy, the government replied that they did not know where it came from.

The data crusade that started with Sprinklr has now reached the messaging system. A one-sided message journey that does not even allow people to respond. Undemocratic digital advice must end. Even when the court questioned the government’s dissemination of information that is not needed by the people, the government’s stance is strange. The government has included people’s privacy in its general plan.

The individuals who approached the court against illegal data leakage are commendable.  If it weren't for them, the government would have deleted the word privacy from its dictionary!

The one-way messaging system must end. There must be a system to send messages back when they are received.

Malabar magic

#Malabar #Magic
It would be good if the government's new motto was "If anyone asks, we can change the name immediately." Yesterday Malabar Mystery, today Minnal Magic; what will it be tomorrow, "Magic in the rain, Mosquito Wonder?"

There is no need for a cabinet meeting or a press meeting by a minister to name a brandy. Why a new name when there are so many K-names like Captain, Ship, Kapitan, Karanbhoot? The Excise Minister says that tourism will develop if local brandy is launched. But there is not even a trace of a Tourism Minister who is qualified to talk about tourism anywhere in the area.  The administration is stuck in a single process of naming liquor, ignoring history, geography and cultural awareness, while making unemployment and prohibition a taboo.

We are witnessing the government's self-confidence being stripped away along with the label on the brandy bottle, fearing that someone will frown upon hearing the word Malabar. If this same argumentative logic continues, tomorrow Malabar Christian College will definitely become Minnal College and Malabar Cement will become Minnal Cement.

At a time when people are saying they need roads, hospitals and job opportunities, the government's biggest administrative reform is changing the name of brandy. If this is development, then there is no need for a backbone, just a sticker on the chest: "Today's name, tomorrow's name, depending on the situation."

In reality, it is not the name of brandy that changes like lightning, but the consistency in the government's decisions.

Number one liquor state

#NumberOne #LiquorState
The government that came to power with the slogan of opening schools, not bars, seems to have introduced a new education policy after Pinarayi 1.0 and Pinarayi 2.0, saying “opening bars, closing everything else.”

The most stable economic plan in Kerala is to open a bottle when the bridge of governance is shaking. The operating hours of bars were extended till 12 midnight as a result of this realization. With the elections approaching, the public is not wrong in thinking that this is a ‘liquid budget’ to collect funds.

If you hear the minister’s explanation that the decision is based on the model of neighboring states, you will even doubt whether a 24-hour ‘welcome drink’ scheme will come tomorrow to boost tourism. When we say tourism in Kerala, we have long been convinced that it is not the beach, backwaters and forests; it is the bottle, cup and counter. That is why we invite you to Munnar.  The government's cultural preservation policy is not to change this.

The biggest social contribution of this policy is the truth that even if the bars are closed at 10 pm, drunkards who do not come home even at 12 pm will wander astray. The old saying "Even day is night in the eyes of a drunkard" has become the principle of today's governance.

The biggest sorrow is for the anti-alcohol campaigners; when the leftists rule, they do not have any kind of struggle. They only struggle when the rightists come. Therefore, the hope that the anti-alcohol campaign will get new life when the next government comes is now shining in the bottle.

The government that opens bars without closing schools, fills culture in bottles and drinks election funds in glasses is on a great mission to make Kerala the 'number one liquor state' in front of the world. Therefore, let us "continue as one", become a liquor state!

Age affects intelligence

#Age #affects #intelligence
Former Union Minister Mani Shankar Aiyar's statement about Kerala seems more like a personal expression of emotion than a political assessment. Asserting that Pinarayi Vijayan will become the Chief Minister again based on the information he has heard is not a serious political observation, but a one-sided praise campaign. If Aiyar clarifies prompted this PR work, the picture will become clearer.

Such a judgmental statement should not have come from a senior leader without first understanding the socio-economic-political realities of a state and without considering the difficulties and criticisms of the people. There is only political justification for Pinarayi in the words he said in the name of "Gandhian truth".

The remarks that personally insult Congress leaders question Aiyar's political culture. The controversial remarks that Shashi Tharoor is a chameleon and KC Venugopal is a rowdy are not a sign of maturity. It would be good if Aiyar understood that it is not others who are being made small by such positions, but himself, who has lost control of his words.

Aiyer's stance on Kerala, which is based on hearsay, is a testament to the old saying that "age affects intelligence". The real problems of Kerala are understood by the people living there, not by the  worn-out horse who come to dine at resorts on tourist package.

Crime Festival

#Crime #Festival
If you open the channels and newspapers, it seems as if Kerala is holding a crime festival.  Kozhikode Town SI was stabbed by a criminal, a mag was stabbed in Pathirapalli for asking for a bottle of water at a wedding reception, and a case has been filed against a police officer in Thiruvananthapuram instead of those who attacked him inside a mall.

If you listen to all this, you will feel that Kerala is not a land of law, but a kangaroo court. Even a small argument ends in conflict and stabbing. A time when everything from bottled water to shirts has become a matter of life and death. Just as a man used to walk with a bullet in his bag, here  the Keeleri men walk with a knife in their hands!

Meanwhile, the rulers act as if this is not a big problem. It requires a high  skin depth  to describe Kerala where even the police are not safe, as a model of law and order.  The common man who is afraid to walk on the street, the policeman who hesitates to do his duty: The Kerala government is with them!

Should we call this situation where criminals are bold and law-abiding people are afraid, development, or a live telecast of administrative failure? Kerala is teaching a new lesson: to get justice, we must first live!

Split Festival

#Split #Festival
In the Kerala Congress (M) party, the phrase ‘the party will decide’ makes you laugh as soon as you hear it. The party means only one person, that is, the party chairman. The party chairman is what the party constitution says. Yesterday the chairman was K. M. Mani, today his son Jose K. Mani.

But while Jose K. Mani is sitting in this chairman’s chair and thinking about whether to open the Pala map or not, on the other hand, there is another person sitting in the ministerial chair and calculating: Roshi Augustine. Roshi Augustine is very happy with the ministerial chair he got due to Jose K. Mani’s defeat. If he wants to continue that, the chairman must lose again. Roshi Augustine calculates that the right constituency for that is Pala

When Roshi announces that the chairman will contest from Pala itself, there are those in the party who interpret it as an astrological prediction to protect his own ministerial position. Jose Mani says that the decision will be taken by the party.  The real question is whether Roshi will agree even if the party takes a decision.

The history of the Kerala Congress is in a geometric pattern: split, grow, split again. Now the great political experiment before Jose K. Mani is to let Roshi go his way with love. If he does so, the party will be relieved, if not, it will suffocate. Then Roshi will come out with a new version of Kerala Congress. Thus, history will repeat itself.

Jose K. Mani can experiment again with his own logo in Pala or other constituencies. It is not the first time in the world that a smoking stick  is being thrown out. Perhaps people will ask, "Is this an election or a grand celebration of the split of the Kerala Congress?" It does not matter.

Sachithanandan poem

Sachidanandan Poem
The feeling that the time has come when the governance and continuity of Kerala will no longer be decided by the people, but by poets and academy chairmen, is what one gets when listening to K. Sachidanandan's new political poem. The literary charm of this is that he came to realize the great discovery that "fronts should take turns governing" only after both fronts had plunged the state into debt, sent the youth to the airport, and turned universities into protest sites.

To those who have put a public debt of one and a half lakh rupees on the shoulders of each child, without asking who caused all this disaster, and to say the general slogan that we should take turns governing in a democracy becomes a safe and irresponsible stance like a weather report.

What is even more interesting is that this advice is as if we have not seen the 'indi alliance governance culture' created by the two fronts acting like the A-team and the B-team in Kerala.  At a time when the opposition has joined hands with the ruling party, the strike has become a formula, and backdoor appointments have become a public policy, the phrase “If we rule alternately, the country will be saved” is not a poem, but a political comedy.

Such advice, given by some cultural voices who recognize the direction in which the flow is going and flow with the same flow, is becoming an echo that only resonates on the microphone on the stage without touching the real suffering of the people. The poem of Sachidanandan is not a balm that will cure anyone’s headache here

Struggle season two

#Struggle Season Two
If this is Kerala University’s “Struggle Season 2”, then the government’s response is the “Silence Season Finale”. When the SFI student organization vandalized the Kerala University Registrar’s Office, the Chief Minister, who is handling the Home Department, was in a state of meditation. The state of the Kerala Police, which is waiting without confronting the protesters until the Governor opens his eyes, is pathetic

One police for Pinarayi, who is handling the Home Department, and another police for the Kerala Governor. Is this a constitutional experiment or is it the title of the handbook in the new curriculum “Two Powers, One Law”?. It would be very appropriate if the brochure of Kerala University, which the government calls the hub of higher education, included pictures of barricades, water cannons and lathis to attract foreign students.

Where is the Higher Education Minister, who regularly arrives with the Bharatanatyam symbol and a punch thrown in the air when SFI riots start? Is she also in a state of meditation like the Chief Minister?  The minister's indifference during the protests has become an academic experiment. Whose head came up with the theory that if the protests are ignored, they will end on their own?

The government's indifference when a few students caught up in political exuberance hold the university hostage raises the question of whether there is a government here. If the government's policy is to watch everything and not stop any violence, it would be better to put up a sign that Kerala University is not a center of learning, but a permanent center of protest.

New Innings Plan

#NewInnings #Plan
Not in this year's budget, but in last year's Kerala budget, the government announced a grand scheme called "New Innings" for senior citizens. This scheme was introduced with the lofty aim of including senior citizens in active socio-cultural and health activities. It sounded like the name of a national award-winning film. But nothing happened

The Finance Minister had proudly announced that Rs 5 crore had been allocated for the implementation of the scheme. But after the budget speech ended, it seemed as if the government itself had doubts about whose innings this "New Innings" actually was. No specific benefits such as direct financial assistance or new pensions for senior citizens were clearly announced.

Conceptually, it was known as a welfare and rehabilitation scheme based on the grand philosophy of "active aging". But if you study the history of the Kerala budget, you will understand, some schemes are made not to be implemented, but to be announced as mere ideas.  A clear example of this is the “New Innings”.

According to the information available, neither the guidelines of the scheme nor the working structure through the local self-government institutions have been fully formed. Therefore, ordinary senior citizens have not received any service that can be directly experienced under the name of this scheme. Special health service - no. Employment opportunity - no. Monthly assistance - no. Training programs. no. Entertainment - no. In short, the name “New Innings” is only in the name, the innings have not started.

Now the state of this scheme is like that of a Thirunakkara boat - it is still lying there. Without moving even an inch from the announcement stage, without providing any practical benefit to senior citizens, the “New Innings” is resting peacefully.

The fate of most of the schemes announced through the budget by the current and .former Finance Ministers is the same: some schemes are not for implementation, but for newsworthiness!

What do the people want?

#What do the people want?
Expressing the desire to become an MLA candidate while still holding the position of MP is an open insult to political decency.

A fixed term is given to the elected representative of the people to intervene in national-level issues and be the voice of the constituency. The MPs elected from Kerala have a term of three more years. Trying to jump to another position without completing that term in the hope of gaining power is a tendency to insult the will of the people.

It is unfortunate that such moves are based on the calculation that becoming a minister will bring more benefits. When the perception that politics is not about service but profit is strengthened, the values of democracy are trampled on.
Therefore, the desire of MPs to become MLA candidates should be strongly questioned. Resigning from the MP position first should be an ethical and legal criterion if one wants to contest. Otherwise, allowing the approach of holding both will be opportunistic.

Democracy should never glorify leaders who run for the position of minister without fulfilling the responsibility given to them by the people.  There should be a law in the country that does not allow leaders to contest another election without completing their term of office

The people's desire is clear, Kerala and the country need representatives who will faithfully carry out the assigned duties, not politicians who play by changing positions.

Sari and Churidar

#Sari and #Churidar
Teachers' attire should be decided based on their work comfort and efficiency. Churidar is more practical and convenient for teachers who have to perform diverse responsibilities such as not only in the classroom but also in lab activities, sports activities, school programs, etc.

It is not appropriate for a civilized society to measure a teacher's qualifications and discipline by the form of the clothes she wears. Respecting the constitutional value that clothing is part of personal freedom, teachers have the right to choose clothes that do not hinder their work and are decent.

The security guard, on the instructions of the manager of the Kottarakkara Neduvathur Eeshwaravilasam School, did not allow the headmistress to enter the school wearing a churidar. How does a school gatekeeper get more power than the headmistress? Are the school run by goons?  An incident that only Number One Kerala can be proud of!

Not allowing a teacher to enter a school because she was wearing a churidar is an act that questions the freedom and dignity of women. It is the duty of teachers and students to maintain discipline and etiquette in educational institutions; but for managers to impose unnecessary dress codes in the name of that is an abuse of power and arrogance.

It is the responsibility of the government and society to convince all school and college managements who take such unwise decisions of their real responsibility.

Humay dimension

#Human #Dimension
Sadanandan Master’s act of placing his prosthetic limbs on the table of the Rajya Sabha was not a theatrical stunt but a powerful moral statement. It was a silent yet eloquent reminder of the personal cost of political violence and a testimony to what he claims to have endured in the name of ideology. Parliament is not merely a chamber of procedures; it is also a forum for truth, conscience, and lived experience.

By showing the nation what he had lost, Master sought to underline the fragility of democracy when intolerance turns into brutality. Such a gesture demands empathy and reflection, not technical hair-splitting. If democracy cannot accommodate the pain of a victim speaking through symbols, then it risks becoming an empty ritual rather than a living moral institution.

John Brittas’s objection, framed narrowly as a “point of order,” came across as insensitive and evasive. Instead of engaging with the substance of Master’s allegation and the larger issue of political violence, he chose to hide behind procedural formalism. This response appeared less like a defense of parliamentary decorum and more like an attempt to silence an uncomfortable narrative.

Ironically, when disruptions and placards have often been tolerated from opposition benches in the past, invoking rules selectively exposes a troubling double standard. True democratic spirit lies not in suppressing symbolic protest but in confronting painful truths with openness and humility.

In that sense, Brittas’s reaction diminished the dignity of the House, while Master’s gesture reaffirmed the human dimension of politics.

When syllabus is reduced

#When #syllabus is reduced.
When we hear Education Minister Sivankutty's announcement that the syllabus of Class 10 will be reduced by 25 percent, the first thing you think is whether this is an accounting exam.  The content is the same, but the size will be reduced by 25 percent.  We will have to call the mathematician Pythagoras himself again to find out how this is.

The minister says that the curriculum committee has approved the syllabus reduction;  but when the news comes out that the committee itself was not aware of this, it is natural to doubt whether the education department has become a 'note-taking department'.  When it is certain that a new government and a new minister will come next May, isn't announcing such a long-term change a sign of the minister's mentality of "let me leave a mark before I go"?

This announcement does not even show the basic sense that the syllabus is being formulated taking into account the national-level structure and coordination with other states. If we listen to the minister's explanation that the syllabus was reduced because the children complained that the syllabus was too much, will we ignore the alphabet if the class first  students say tomorrow that letters are difficult and pictures are enough?  If MBBS students say that anatomy is too long, will we suggest that they only study the heart and ignore lungs.

Education is a matter that should be pursued through scientific planning, not a matter of holding a popularity poll.  If we accept the logic that reducing the syllabus will reduce the difficulty, wouldn't it be a great relief if the exam itself was skipped tomorrow?

Is there no one in the education department who is conscious, this question should be included as a question in the textbook.

Government's interim joke

#Government's #InterimJoke
When you see a cabinet that has only a life span till mid-May presenting a full budget, it seems like a patient on his deathbed is drawing plans for a new house. Despite knowing the truth that this budget will not be applicable to the new government after the elections, Finance Minister Balagopal has spread “long-term development dreams” in abundance.

When the treasury is empty and the threat of treasury closure persists, announcing bridges, roads and a golden future is not economics, but political magic. K Rail is gone, and the Rapid Regional Transit System is coming in its place. At least a simple, catchy name could have been given to this permanent railway project.

The claim is that this is a development budget. But it is really a magic show to mesmerize some stupid voters. After the elections, the curtain will fall, the magician will go, and all that is left is a trash can.  If the new government is of the opposite party, it will be thrown into the ditch, including the trash can.

This full budget of the Left government is not a document that faces facts, but a speechbook that runs away from reality. Announcing dreams worth crores from a treasury without money is like building a sand castle from the sea. If a new government comes, all this will have to be written again.

The current budget will become a historical object under the name of “the interim joke of the interim government”. Therefore, this budget is not a road map for development, but a cartoon map of politics. The only consolation is that this budget has not been filled with gibberish like that of its predecessor, the economist.

Writing development dreams where there is no money is not a budget; it is a story that deceives the people.

Misplaced Activism

#Misplaced #Activism
The petition filed by the Save University Campaign Committee against the Padma Bhushan awarded to Vellappally Natesan is nothing but an unwarranted and ill-conceived overreach. While the committee has earned credibility for exposing corruption within universities, it has no mandate to sit in judgment over a national civilian honour decided by a constitutionally constituted selection process.

Dragging pending cases and ethical insinuations into a matter of national recognition reflects a prejudiced mindset rather than principled concern. Vellappally Natesan’s lifelong service to the Ezhava community through the SNDP Yogam and the Sree Narayana Trust, which manages numerous educational institutions, is an undeniable social contribution. Reducing his decades of public work to selective allegations is intellectually dishonest and politically motivated.

More disturbingly, the committee’s action amounts to questioning the authority and integrity of the Padma award selection mechanism itself, which is neither its role nor its competence. Natesan’s act of placing the Padma Bhushan at the feet of Sree Narayana Guru symbolised humility and reverence, and was widely appreciated across society. To interpret this honour as controversial is to disrespect both the award and the values of Sree Narayana Guru that Natesan has consistently upheld in public life.

The Save University Campaign Committee’s move appears less like a principled protest and more like a publicity stunt aimed at staying in the limelight beyond its legitimate sphere of intervention. Such misplaced activism only weakens its moral standing and diverts attention from the genuine issues within higher education that it ought to address.
