It's really disheartening to hear that employees of the Kerala state government are facing hardships due to delayed salary payment. Now they are in tune with KSRTC employees who receive delayed salary often.

As the Finance Minister, it's crucial for Mr Balagopal to ensure the smooth functioning of financial operations, including timely payment of salaries to employees. This failure reflects poorly on the management of state finances.

In such a situation, it would indeed be a responsible move for the Finance Minister to take accountability and step down from his post. Resigning would not only acknowledge the gravity of the situation but also pave the way for new leadership. It can then address the issues effectively and ensure that such setbacks are not repeated in the future.

 It's essential for public officials to prioritize the well-being of their constituents. And resigning in the face of failure is a step towards upholding the responsibility.
