The miscreant attack on Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar is highly condemnable and is a direct indication of lack of security at highly protected places. A thorough inquiry is needed about the whole episode. The deliberate attempt by the visual media to adore the attack on Pawar signifying that he is the only person responsible for price rise and corruption is unwarranted.
Nevertheless, the whole episode gives an opportunity for the Centre Government to contemplate on sky rocketing prices and peoples’ resentment. The frequent hike of fuel price and the subsequent increase in the price of essential commodities pushed people to think against the rulers at the Centre.
