Former Kerala minister and Poojappura returnee R. Balakrishna Pillai has buried facts by saying that the Oommen Chandy government did not grant him any favours when he was imprisoned. Does it mean all the abuses hurled by Opposition leaders on Chandy and his scrawny defence for Pillay’s releases have been overlooked by Pillai himself? This is a mean rudeness.
With Pillai’s release, one year imprisonment in Kerala has become sixty nine days in jail. And in future if any convict argues in that line he should be released after 69 days for one year imprisonment. It is good for Pillai to keep his mouth shut for some more time as his period of imprisonment in under the scan of the apex court.
