Kerala MP Shashi Tharoor has filed a Rs.10 crore defamation suit against the Sunday Indian magazine for publishing an article insinuating that he has black money stashed away in Swiss banks. He has appointed Kochi-based legal firm sent the defamation notice to the editor in charge of the magazine. People like Tharoor are very rich and hence defamation case money related to them also is high.
It is a notorious fact that many Indian politicians have unaccounted money in Swiss Bank. And due to varied reasons the Govt of India is not disclosing the names of account holders. Once the Government decides to disclose the names the embarrassment caused to Tharoor or other MPs can be avoided. The Finance Minister should think in this direction.
The people of Kerala want to know the name of the MP who had unaccounted money in Swiss banks.
