Tharoor’s mission next

Former Minister Shashi Tharoor says he has done no mistake to bring the IPL team to Kerala and his attempt to get an IPL team for Kerala has been succeeded. Dear former Minster, I want to know in what aspect the name Kerala is associated with IPL. How many players from Kerala are associated with Kerala IPL? Name the chief promoters of IPL from Kerala? Which is the base station for Kerala IPL? What is the chunk of revenue the state Government going to obtain by Kerala IPl team? Except you and your fiancé Sunanda Pushkar, is there anyone from Kerala associated with Kochi IPL? The term ‘Kerala’ with a cricket team does not always connect it with Kerala. An orchestra team from Muhamma named as ‘Cochin Angels’ does not necessarily relate to Kochi.

So, dear former minister, don’t be pained by the allegations against you. The 30 years of your service in the United Nations was a matter of poise for us. But you spoiled it with your latest circling around a widow and the alleged ‘sweat equity’of rupees 70 crore to her. Anyhow your involvement in the nasty IPL would result in a probe and that would end nowhere because sharks involved are mightier than you.

Your admittance that you would continue to work for the development of the State and the city is acceptable, however your mission to ensure the victory of the UDF in the local bodies and Assembly elections is not at all essential because the present ruling LDF has already dug their grave. Your presence may reduce a few votes as women of Kerala do not like men running after several women.
