#University turmoil
The ongoing turmoil at the University of Kerala, a prestigious NAAC A++ graded institution, is a glaring example of how political interference can erode academic integrity and administrative order.
The existence of two Registrars: one appointed by the Syndicate and another by the Vice-Chancellor is not only unprecedented but also deeply damaging to the university's credibility. The politically driven Syndicate has overstepped its academic role, converting the campus into a political battleground rather than a place of learning and research. This blatant politicisation must be strongly opposed.
It is imperative that the Chancellor, who is the Governor, intervenes decisively to dismantle this politically compromised Syndicate and ensure that the University adheres strictly to UGC norms and democratic academic governance. The sanctity of higher education cannot be sacrificed at the altar of party politics.
