The attempt to tarnish Suresh Gopi's reputation by registering a police case over his comments at a public meeting is a blatant effort to mislead the public and distract from the real issues he raised.
As a respected public figure and minister, Suresh Gopi has a duty to address concerns that affect the people, and his remarks on the Waqf issue in Kerala reflect the legitimate fears of a large section of society. Resorting to legal action merely for media attention, instead of engaging in meaningful dialogue, reveals the pettiness of those who seek to undermine his standing.
Such actions are not only desperate but also an affront to the democratic principles of free speech and responsible governance. Suresh Gopi’s integrity and popularity cannot be shaken by these cheap political stunts.
