Sonia’s wake-up call

Sonia Gandhi’s stern message that party leaders and cadres should stop infighting and they must present a united face has yielded fruit in some states especially in Kerala.

Blaming Pinarayi, when State Congress President Remesh Chennilthala said Acuthanandan is a brave communist, rebutting it former KPCC President K Mauraleedharan came strongly against Chennithala saying that veteran  comrade is a coward. I mean the essence of Sonia’s message was fully understood by the Kerala leaders and hence they started mudslinging each other with added vigour.

Sonia Gandhi’s tough talk is bound to have some effect on poor party men nevertheless it has no impact on hard core politicians like K Muraleedharan.  Arrogance among leaders has become a common posture in Kerala; still they win by-polls because of the damage done by  Opposition party by brutal acts like killing of former comrade by present comrades.

There is only just two years  for the Lok Sabha elections. As the memory of an average voter is very poor comrade killing would be soon forgotten and people would vote against Congress if the infighting of the present sort persists.
