Foolish arguments- The Pioneer Daily
Following the discovery of a treasure trove containing gold, diamonds and precious stones, etc, at the Sri Padmanabha Swami temple in Thiruvananthapuram, security at the shrine has become a vital concern for the State Government. However, since the treasure was assessed by an order of the Supreme Court, in my opinion, it is the apex court who should also decide how the vast amounts of valuable assets will be protected. It is unfair to expect that the State Government alone will bear the enormous burden of providing adequate security at the temple, especially since there is already controversy over the actual owner of the treasure trove.
