The UDF joke
Emphasis of Governor R S Gavai in the Assembly that his government (UDF) would be a transparent and corruption-free one, for the next five years is apparently inquisitive. This is quite evident from the discordant stand of Mani, Joseph and Jacob on one side for the Inter Church Council and some Congress and League leaders standing against them. One understood only now, Joseph who shared table with previous LDF Government for more than four years, is an ardent disciple of the clergies.
As the interest of the poor is petite, the Governor’s statement that “the outlook of my government will be to devise programmes for cautious development without sacrificing the interests of the poor'', is meaningful. The development is intended for the Front leaders.
