There
are innumerable IPS officers in Kerala cadre but Tomin J Thachankary is an
exception. He is always in the rumour for misdeeds. This time Home Minister
Ramesh Chennithala has ordered a Vigilance inquiry against him in a cheating
case. It is alleged that he cheated quarry owners by selling off an unlicensed
quarry and took Rs 8 crore for the Rs 20 crore deal. Telephonic conversations
are available with the quarry owners to validate their claim.
There
are also reports mentioning irregularities in Consumerfed where he is the MD. He
has a dubious history of crimes for which the Opposition leader is also a
complainant. So this is high time to show the way out to this unjust officer.
