Early in November, last year Kerala MP Shashi Tharoor has filed a Rs.10 crore defamation suit against a magazine for publishing an article insinuating that he has black money stashed away in Swiss banks. He has appointed Kochi-based legal firm to send the defamation notice to the editor in charge of the magazine. Nevertheless, no further information is available about the case.
It is a notorious fact that many Indian politicians have unaccounted money in Swiss Banks. Due to varied reasons the Govt of India is not disclosing the names of account holders. Once the Government decides to disclose the names the embarrassment caused to Tharoor or other MPs can be avoided. Would the present Finance Minister do something to reveal the names of MPS and MLAs having fictitious account in Swiss banks?
It is a fact that many MPs in the Parliament are under trail in many criminal cases. Let the people know more about them and their savings in Swiss banks.
