The Government of Kerala should understand the deep resentment of the youth organisations in the State against the pension age hike and hence an immediate roll back in this respect is needed avoiding further bloodshed in this regard. The protest of the educated youth is genuine, beyond any political affiliation.
The minister K. M. Mani announcing his attractive job package for youths is a trick and no sensible person would easily comprehend it. It is also insensate to compare the pension age of other states in the country when the educated and unemployed are largest in this state.
Moreover, with the salary paid to one person about to retire three new recruits can be paid. The new recruits are better informed and more fit undertake any new task than the worn-out horses.
The leaders like V M Sudheeran who often speaks on all issues, why keep mouth shut on the fate of educated youths now in PSC lists? I request the Kerala Cabinet to take a wise decision about the pension age hike. Pleas revoke it immediately.
