Devaprasanam at Sree Padmanabha temple
It is very good to know the will of the reining deity of Sree Padmanabha temple by devaprasanam about stock taking of temple cellars. Besides it is highly significant to know whether deity is in favour of investigation so far done in the cellars. The followers of Sree Padmananabhan are eager to know the future disaster, if any that may likely to occur with the opening of the mysterious and the most valued B cellar. However, this devaprasanam should not end like one conducted in Sabarimalla years back by Unnikrishna Panicker who then saw in the prasanam that one woman had touched the deity. Later it was proved to be wrong.
Obviously, whether the expert panel constituted to evaluate the temple asset would stop their work on an adverse outcome of devaprasanam, is a curious question.

There is a saying in Konkani:-
"Vatten vecha Wagha, Makka evnu
Khaga" means "Wandering tiger, come
and eat me". This is what happened
with regard to the opening of the invaluable treasure of the temple, which was there all these 400 yrs
under the safe custody of just 4
half-naked batten-holding watch-
men. Now what is the situation?
As a result of the half-crack, whimsy, SunderaRajan, the whole
world is in the lime-light of the more than one lakh Crores worth of Gold, Jewellery, antiques and
curios. When super-powers are not ashamed to conquer other lands
finding some pretext or other, and pirates are always on the watchout for new preys who knows nobody on the earth is joining hands with other gangs to create a master plan to loot this treasure. When the hooligans have no concern for humanlife they will even create
terror among the TVM population, or even create a number of bomb
explosions in different parts of the city, to divert the attention of the security forces and crash into the temple coffers. Even otherwise they can create a under-water tunnel from deep sea to the temple underground. Time is no bar to such activities. The butty is so huge that it can be a 5-year
plan or ten year plan. We can only wait and wait with horror in our hearts. This is where the Konkani proverb: "Oh, wandering Tiger, why don't you come and eat me".
Changalakku thanne bhrandu pidi- chal enthu cheyyum." -VKS.
Your write up is seemingly marvellous. Please come and share again.
Take care, with warm regards.

I,P.K Thankappan of thankappan79@gmail.com am verymuch
intrigued by the comments of KAS and VKS.The so called wealth of the temple is some gold ornaments is nothing but part of this earth alone,
now valuable because of its scarcity.
We who believe in ultimate right and goodness must seek the way this gold reached the cellar.I am sure God,if
exists never likes that treasure if it was accumulated in wrong means. So let the authorities find out how it was accumulated. If it was gathered by sources like breast tax like sinful means, both yuor views must be rewritten.

I think Thankappan sir joins with the arguments of Smt. Jameela Prakasam MLA, wife of Sri Neelalohithadasan Nadar. Whatever be the source this wealth it should be wisely used for the uplift of the people of Kerala. As V K Shenoi Sir said, it is foolish to keep all these wealth idle for years in temple coffers.
Thank you joining. Take care.

It is gratifying to know that there are learned men who share my views
on many general subjects.I am rather shaken by the suicide of ayoung, poor nurse in a Bombay hospital. Will KSA and VKS and others if any, express your thoughts on this subject ?
thankappan79@gmail.com
Dear Thankappan Sir,
Many cried when Steve Jobs died. But none cries when Somalian poor children die in hundreds bcause of starvation. And this is applicable to the young nurse.
Thank you sir again for joining.
Sri VKSji is not seen of late. May be he busy in watching 'Silsila' in You Tube.

Dear KAS,
While talkinf of 'silsila' I too
happento go through that miserable cheap product on the urges of VKS.
Though I am not an expert on music,I have cultivated a habit of enjoying
music of different forms,southern and
hindustani classics, western pop, classics and many other forms.Beethoven,Mozart Bachto recently died Jagjith Singh are my favourites. But alas: this real farce.

Hello Solaman saar, and Thankappan saar(if you,the latter, happens to see & read this post), I, V.K.SHENOY, was running with my computer innards all these days, like a mad dog, with cut-off tail and stone hit belly. Now I am typing this from my daughter's house in EKM, on my Grand Son's computer, at 11.10 AM.8th.Dec.2011.
All these days I was suffocating in absence of a brain controlling computer.
Regarding the TVM Treasure I have read your thoughtful opinions. If I agree with you what is the meaning of life, damn boring. So I give my side of view.
1) The Travancore Rulers, if they wanted, could easily have squandered the wealth in any way, imaginable and unimaginable to us.
They could have invested in Swiss Banks, purchasing foreign lands, even islands, started 5star or 7 star hotels, started AirLines, or Shipping Cos, or Cabere Hotels, or Red Streets, or whatever you can dream of. They did nothing of this and saved and preserved the wealth for the future generations. Now, why can't we extend the preservation for a future date & generation for a surprise to them?
Regarding Mr.Thankappan's opinion that the wealth came from Kerala only I strongly disagree. Ananthasayanam was famous throughout India and pilgrims from all over the land came to prey the Lord and naturally put Kaanikka nad valuable Gifts in the Bhandarams (Coffers).Landlords and Kings of yonder times came here, records of which are also there.
There will be no end to this discourse if I Continue. Since there are more important things for me to do permit me to end here.
When one SCANDAL COMES after another, in these days, WHERE IS TIME TO SOLVE ANYONE OF THEM. As long as the human race is selfish and does not consider the rights of other living or non-living species there is no chance for mental peace for the children of the God.
Thank you Shenoi sir for your thoughtful comments.
