#Misuse of power
The police action of booking 27 people for making the Onam pookalam with inscription "Operation Sindoor" at the Parthasarathy temple in Muthupilakk is unfair and too harsh.
Onam is an important cultural and religious festival for the l Kerala, and the flower decoration is a way to show happiness and thankfulness. It is not violent or dangerous, but a harmless tradition that is part of Kerala’s culture. Moreover Operation Sindoor is a response to a the barbaric attack by Pakistan-sponsored terrorists and the action focussed on dismantling terror. The nation is proud of it.
So, treating the making of floral carpet with inscription "Operation Sindoor/ as a crime only scares people and stops them from celebrating. Instead of protecting the feelings and traditions of the community, the police have targeted them, which causes fear and breaks trust. This action is wrong and shows a misuse of power that goes against the spirit of unity and joy that Onam stands for.
