#Funny #communication
It's a common that many Malayalis, despite Malayalam being their mother tongue, often resort to using poor English.. This tendency becomes particularly evident in settings like channel interviews where proficiency in English is perceived as crucial.
This preference often leads to chaotic communication and misunderstandings. Malayalis' reluctance to speak Malayalam in such situations highlights a larger societal trend where English is seen as a marker of prestige. This overshadows the importance of preserving and effectively using one's native language.
This habit not only undermines the richness of Malayalam but also reflects a misplaced prioritization of English. Of course there is a pressing need for a cultural shift that encourages Malayalis to confidently communicate in their mother tongue. This would foster stronger connections and clearer communication within their community and beyond.
