The Kerala High Court, once again reiterating its ban on political strikes in educational institutions, has given direct warning to all and sundry who openly criticise its initial order. The court has categorically said it is not about banning students politics but about strikes inside the campus. However, misinterpreting this, even national leaders find it as a golden opportunity to openly criticise the court.
It is true that educational institutions are for studies. Several students through participation in politics start indiscipline in colleges. Most of the students for these activities are rusticated from educational interests. Many politicians are dragging the students in hartals and strikes for their interests, which in turn spoil students lives. In that point the present court observation is highly judicious.
