It is known to all now that advances in modern
medical care have not contributed in enhancing survival among really sick. What
we see in modern hospitals is a mere business where a critically sick is being
kept in air cooled ventilators surrounded by untried people with somber faces
and denying him a peaceful death before the dear ones.
There are multispecialty and super specialty
hospitals in Kerala when even a dead man is admitted and charged Rs 50000 as
fee for declaring him dead. I think all hospitals work as profit making
business establishments where care and compassion are forgotten stories.
