Bizarre are the ways of Delhi police. Their most acts are
shame to the nation. The latest in this direction is their senselessness in charging South
Africa captain Hansie Cronje for the match-fixing scandal that happened
13 years ago. A period of 13 years is sufficient to absolve a person even if he
had committed a crime. The Delhi police decision is an act against the dead man’s legacy.
The Delhi police had enough opportunity to charge Cronje
earlier but they couldn't find anything till this time. Many people still
believe that Cronje was not as guilty as was made out to be at that time. The
Delhi police action is a futile exercise.
