‘As dog went to seashore’

‘As dog went to seashore’ (patti kadappurathupoyathu pole) is an old Malayalam usage to spell out a futile exercise. Former KPCC President K Muraleedharan’s trip to New Delhi and back in connection with his homecoming to the party is in tune with this. Murali wanted to return back to the Congress party before the panchayat polls. However, Congress State President Remesh Chennithala and Oommen Chandy fear that Murali’s entry to the party would not only spoil their chances but that of the party also. Muralidharan has done enough damage to the party according to them and they succeeded in convincing the High Command at New Delhi in this regard.

So the only option left to Murali is to give up the begging bowl and field own candidates to teach the opponents a lesson.

Needed raw deal

The Maoists in India are like LTTE in Srilanka or rather Al Qaeda in Afghanistan. They have given enough dread to the UPA government of India. The frequent attacks by Maoists demand a raw deal from us for protecting the tribal and home communities. Train passengers and even CRPF jawans are the targets of these outfits and it should be stopped in a war footing basis. A military operation with support from Indian Air Force is essential to contain the Maoist menace. The Maoists should be dealt with an iron hand. It is wise to have talks with those who keep no human sentiments.

Used up brain

Former captain of the Indian cricket team Mohammed Azharuddin is avid to realise the IPL dreams of Kerala and asks cricketer Sreeshant to use his brain. Yes, Azharuddin has used his brain and that is why he is now an MP from Moradabad and a Congress leader.

Fire play by Vaiko

MDMK leader Vaiko is playing with fire when he declared a political war on the Kerala Government over the Mullaperiyar dam issue. His action to beat up passions for making political mileage would end up in disaster unless Karunanidhi takes severe action against him. When the dilapidated dam is major threat the lives of lakhs of people in Kerala, Vaiko saying, “ We have great love for our sisters and brothers of Kerala. But don’t think we can be taken for a ride,” is a non-sense.

It is not Achuthanandan who created a fear about the aged dam but the experts have pointed out its decrepitude. Vaioko saying old Mullaperiyar dam is stronger than the Idukki dam, is to hoodwink the illiterate people of his region. Supply of essential commodities to Kerala is not a mercy done by Vaiko’s men in TN but is done in a reciprocate basis.

Vaiko’s agitation is intended to widen enmity between the two states. This should be contained by reconciliation talk by Karunanidhi and Achuthanandan. Vaiko, a spent force having dubious history of association with disruptive forces like LTTE, should not be allowed operate dubiously in this country. Spirit of unity is valuable than petty politics. Vaiko is playing petty politics.

"Is sex unsafe during menstruation?", you Raju say

The school children of Kerala are going to be the victims of the worst actions of sex mafia and immoral traffickers. The state education department has decided to instruct sex lessons to adolescent students. The teachers at present in schools will be busier and no free hour will be available in schools hereinafter for extra-curricular activities. I fear about pattern of question like: “Is sex unsafe during menstruation, you Raju say?” and after effect of practical work and project analysis of sex education.

There are teachers in schools who took only reproductive system when they handle human physiology. The range of this category would be more in schools with the opening of next academic year. What the students have to do is to check the veracity of sex lessons instructed in the class rooms and those available in porno sites.

No mark, only grade in SSLC and Higher Secondary were planned to diminish number of suicides at exam results. Nevertheless, this year all the calculations have gone wrong and cases of suicides were alarming. The gender education without proper planning need not necessarily yield better result. And it is unnecessary for all students to know about menstruation.

Tharoor had an agenda-now Pinarayi too!

IPL Commissar put former Minister Tharoor into soup by saying that Shashi Tharoor had an agenda and he should shut down it. And that happened. Modi also said neither the IPL shareholders nor the BCCI knew who Sunanda Pushkar was, and did not care who she was.

In a similar tune the new Chairman of the Kerala Congress (M) P J Joseph sings a new song that the CPM State Secretary of Kerala has an agenda and that is why he said farewell from the LDF. Does Joseph mean any other Pushkar linked with Pinarayi? If so never reveal her name to anyone especially Kerala Chief Minister V S Acuthanandan for reasons very obvious.

Pinarayi’s Screatrarial position is very relevant in the present context.

Added attraction for Kerala Home Department.

Kodiyeri received yet another death blow from the Kerala High Court when the court ordered a CBI inquiry into the custody death of Sampath, first accused in the sensational case relating to the murder of Sheela. Had Kodiyeri sufficient power he might have dissolved the court itself! Kodiyeri’s comment that court orders in many cases are prejudiced, is in this direction. Every order against the Home Department of Kerala is seemingly an added attraction for it.

Uninspiring performance of the LDF

The LDF Government in Kerala has completed its four year concert and the performance was uninspiring. Except some goons who pretend to be Marxists, all are unhappy with the routine of the LDF. Fraud, incompetence, and nepotism are seemingly the distinctive features of the ministry. V S Achuthanandan is seen as a Chief Minister unable to check the unjustifiable occurrences within in ministry.

Majority of the poll-time assurances are like line drawn on water. IT development is the state is ended with realty business. Illicit liquor trade and flesh trade are still in swing. Almost all departments are corrupt and there is little action to contain corruption. Recruitments are done only for police without whom the ministers’ couldn’t travel with in the state. The educated youths run from pillar to post for securing a job.

Achuthanandan is seen as hapless man still people keep faith in him for next year also. His solidarity with protesting people of Kinalur gives a silver line of hope for the people.

Ban on PC Thomas

The three-year ban from contesting elections on former Union minister of State for law PC Thomas by the Election Commission of India is a jolt not only to Thomas but also to the LDF. Thomas gets what he deserves. The statement that his present priority was not contesting elections but strengthening the Kerala Congress is ludicrous. The LDF is likely to lose a few votes for having P C Thomas with them. Thomas was an NDA-backed candidate in Muvattupuzha, later joined the Left front by merging his IFDP with the PJ Joseph and finally deserted Joseph-a sheer act of opportunism. And in the whole episode the real loser is Surendran Pillai, who is unlikely to get a berth in the next Assembly Election.

Let Pope John Paul II and Mother Teresa campaign for other Christian leaders of Kerala Congress in the next election.

LDF secularism without Christians.

No doubt the Kerala State ruling LDF is a secular front and their secularism now ended up without Christians. With the breaking away of Kerala Congress Joseph group, the Front has lost its Christian representation. Are Christians like Baby, Isaac, Thachankary etc associated with the front acceptable to Christian Bishops?

Stars from Mumbai

It is not all well now in Malayalam film world for even superstar films are remaining in box without an opening for release. However, it is interesting to see that Bollywood stars Manisha Koirala and Dimple Kapadia are going to act in Malayalam cinema. Does it mean that still there is chance for Dimple to appear in Bikini in Malayalam cinema as sixty plus super stars of here prefer teen age girls? The perverted Malayalam film goers may think that Dimple in Bikini as a teen aged girl suited to any of the super stars. The presence of former Samajwadi Party general secretary Amar Singh in Malayalam film will be a substitute for thespian Thilakan who is in collision course with AMMA, FEFKA and other poppy cocky organizations. A white-skinned, Hindi speaking and good-humored ‘Thilakan’ would be an added attraction for Malayalam cinema. But I don’t think that these three would make any bang in Malayalam cinema.

Obviously the migration of the stars from north to south would reduce the chance of actors here. When Manisha Koirala acts as mother of Nayanthara, it is KPAC Lalitha or else who lose the chance. Thilakan has already become a redundant stuff with his revolt against main stream. The actor who boosts for having six children from two women, who are not his wives, is no longer acceptable to Malayalees. It is quite unfortunate to import stars from the north when Malayalam film industry faces crisis and many actors ramble without a chance. Producers who are unwilling to give chances to actors in Malayalam should be sent to Mumbai to make films.
